• Man, I love this guitar, it’s an homage to one of my favorite guitars and builders, Ben Wasser’s “Shaft”. 
So this is the second “Shardblade“ Ive built, and I have to say it’s just an all around incredible instrument. The finish on this one turned out fantastic, the Butterscotch and Black pair beautifully together and really give this one that “Balls out Rock and Roll Axe“ Vibe. 
The neck is a Warmoth “Vortex, Birdseye Maple and Rosewood, that I finished in lacquer and buffed out to a super smooth satin finish. The Tone Pros II is about as solid as you can get paired with Mini Grover Locking Tuners. 
Then finally I went with a classic PAF from Lindy Fralin. These pickups are especially great and fit the vibe of this guitar perfectly. They are articulate, warm and sweet, and turn into monsters when driven hard. The perfect vintage style, 50’s voiced PAF.
This Big River Shardblade looks and feels about as badass as they come! On top of it, it plays effortlessly and sounds like a rock machine!
